Career Assessments
A career assessment almost always involves a desire or need (in the case of outplacement) to change jobs. The central question is which change is most obvious, given your motives, personality and competences. A career assessment therefore indicates what kind of professions and organisations suit you. A career assessment often involves more than just the assessment day itself. Usually, there is an interview that takes place a few weeks prior to the assessment.
The assessment day itself does not differ much from other types of assessments, except that there is a clear place for questionnaires with a career-specific character. In his advice, the psychologist does not work towards a conclusion in terms of 'suitable' or 'not suitable', he looks for the most striking trends in your interests and competencies. The advice mainly indicates a number of suitable career directions.
